 She enters the dimly lit room. And peers around gloomily. She focuses on the light that is cascading in through the windows. She stares off into the distance at a memory deep in the recesses of her mind. She smiles sadly to herself. She then shakes her head to try to rid her mind of the memory, that has once again slithered its way into her skull. She then turns around to face the room again only to gasp loudly at the sight before her....

the room is now glittering.....

She slowly walks towards the piano and looks about the room in awe. As a feeling of nostalgia hits her. She begins to hum a tune that's been haunting her for awhile......

.....she closes her eyes, opens her mouth and begins to sing.....

She trails the end note off into a vibrato. She pauses and looks about the room once more. She shakes her head and then laughs.....

Gully Creepa!

Disclaimer:

[ Gully creepa ] *Noun* a "thing" :

 "Some so call bad men used to use the gully to hide from police and creep up on their own brothers and sisters and kill them for what they have. "

[ Gully in Jamaica ] *Noun* a place :

There is the definition of the term "gully" here in North America where it is meant as "too raw and real"  and is used as an adjective but in Jamaica "Gully" is a noun. Gully is basically a ditch that is found under bridges or inside little tunnels that runs water through it.

With that said. The term "Gully" is also used as a gang affiliated phrase in Jamaica: "Gully mi seh." Jamaica is now divided into 2 parts because of 2 dancehall reggae artists that have waged a "war" against eachother. The "leader" of the "Gully side" is Movado. So he coined the term "Gully mi seh". Anyone who says this is said to be in support of the "Gully side." Movado's rival is Vybez Cartel. He is the leader of the "Gaza side": "Gaza mi seh". 

I am in support of neither side. I feel this rival/feud is mindless. BUT I am using the popular dancehall song "Gully creepa" as an artistic and creative way of expression for this post. Not as support for this war.

To get an idea of the vibe, mannerisms and character that I had in mind when putting this look together for this post refer to this youtube video and watch this dancer in Jamaica doing the dance "Gully creepa"

So basically.....

Why pretend to be a Gully creepa? When you could truly be one?
