I know it's been a hot minute since I've last posted much less made a shape and put it up in my MP shop.
Wait no longer!
I've made a shape out of boredom over the weekend on a whim and decided that I'd put her up for sale.
Now...I've made this shape available for only limited quantities. So if you want her don't hesitate to snatch her up while you still can. Only 30 copies of her are available.
With that said....meet Aida!
I made her wearing TheShops "Alana" skin. I first thought "I wanna kinda make her to look like an Ethiopian beauty....or something east African." But I feel she's kinda reminiscent of an anime character.....kinda.

There's an elegantly dressed woman standing in the middle of what appears to be the foyer to a lavish mansion. She's holding something in her hand. She's looking down at it with a small smile playing at the corners of her lips. A smirk, really. She laughs to herself and shakes her head. She get's a phone call. She reaches into her 7891 clutch and pulls out her cell.
We hear her speaking to the person on the line: "Hi."
"Oh, nothing. I'm just standing in B's foyer being nostalgic and shit..."
She laughs. She holds up the picture again.
"Have I ever told you how Bonnii and I met?"
"--yes, random I know...but I'm standing here waiting for her to get her ass down here and I was going through my clutch and found this old picture of me and her."
"YES! That one!"
"Mmhm, before we hit up our first cash out."
"Yo'...who poses infront of the place they're about to--"
She bursts out laughing at the persons comment.
"Right?...fool and a half...." She pauses and looks at the picture fondly now. She smiles a bit. " We've come a long way from all that shit, tho'...I'm gonna see you tonight, right?"
She smooths out her long golden House of fox gown with her palm. She then hears the clicking of heels off in the distance. She looks in the direction of the noise.
"Okay. I think she's ready now. I gotta go...see you at the gala."
Bonnii enters the room. Elegantly dressed in a body hugging materiya white gown and vive9 pumps. Her hair is delicately and flawlessly gathered on top of her head in an elegant updo. She stands for a moment quickly applying her lipstick Starr approaches her holding up the picture of them, smirking all the while.
"Remember this day, Bon?"
Bonnii, looks up at the picture and laughs.
"Hell yea, I do! How could I forget?...That day was the start of of all this..."
She gestures around them. She then takes the picture from Starr and stares at it for a moment, shaking her head slightly.
"Those were the days though." She laughs..."You still got that bomber jacket from fashionably dead, right?"
"Yeaaa, can't throw that out...the things a classic..."
"True." Bonnii pauses and hands back the picture back to Starr. Starr takes it and places it in the corner of the vanity mirror they're standing next to. "Alright, time to create some more memories!....or create them and then forget them!"

So after I swung through Del May's shop and got the pose I ended up altering my default shape into one of a statuesque model and then snapping some pics of her being a tall voluptous model:
Then the vague nugget of the idea for "Hollow man." came to being.
So I hit my good friend Marxx Portal up and he ended up taking some pics of me before I asked him to pose with me with Del May's new pose "Do not disturb."
We teleported over to "The city" sim.
I put on my prim wings and played around with my windlights.
This was around the period of time that I was obsessed with having my skies and atmosphere looking pink.
Then I just snapped away until I found an angle that I liked.
I set out to edit it that night because I really wanted to execute my idea of "Hollow man." while it was still fresh in my mind.
I did.
It was glorious.
Then GIMP froze and crashed on me during my saving process.

That's basically what I did after I had to reboot my laptop.
So FOR MONTHS! I had the raw shot of "Hollow man." sitting on my hard drive. And I literally FEARED touching it again.
So I left it.
Then when I did my last fashion blog post I thought to myself: "I WANT to edit that picture again and finish and then share it."
So I did. (Again) here's my before and after shots:
The first time I took to editing it I was listening to an artist from my hometown by the name of Justin Nozuka.
His songs are literally done in true "story telling" form. Which is a style that is somewhat lost to todays music. But Michael Jackson was KING of that sort of style.
"Smooth criminal" is a great example of that.
Anywho, I decided to listen to 2 songs from Justin:

I liked the title and overall message of Justin Nozuka's "Hollow men." but it didn't fit the story I had built in my mind for my picture.
The title however VERY much resonated with the story of the picture. So I ran with "Hollow man." for my title.
Now....."Swan in the water" basically tells the story of the man in the picture (Marxx Portal) and why an angel (My avatar) would be paying him a vist.
for this post; this is all the writing I'm going to do.
I will not write you the story of "Hollow man."
But....
I do encourage you to listen to the songs that inspired me.
Starr joles: "Feelin' wild tonight. Just got my hurr did. Went back on my indigo tips. I got my gold on...I got my pink Glance lipstick on. And I got these new flyy glasses from SYL and this whole outfit from SYL. Feelin' myself right now, so let's get it."
Starr Joles nonchalantly looks around her. Taking in all the blondes with big titties and imaginary waists and hips around her at Barbie girl city. She smirks then subtly shakes her head then returns her gaze back to you.
Starr Joles: "They all kinda look the same huh?....And here I am with my dark skinned, freckled faced, petite body, funky purple haired self standing around like I'm too cool for school."
She chuckles.
Starr Joles: "....Shit, I am too cool for school......oh? You want a picture? Here capture this...."
Starr Joles strikes a pose with an Instagram-hipster sort of attitude complete with her tongue hanging out her mouth like Gene Simmons.
She enters the dimly lit room. And peers around gloomily. She focuses on the light that is cascading in through the windows. She stares off into the distance at a memory deep in the recesses of her mind. She smiles sadly to herself. She then shakes her head to try to rid her mind of the memory, that has once again slithered its way into her skull. She then turns around to face the room again only to gasp loudly at the sight before her....
the room is now glittering.....
She slowly walks towards the piano and looks about the room in awe. As a feeling of nostalgia hits her. She begins to hum a tune that's been haunting her for awhile......
.....she closes her eyes, opens her mouth and begins to sing.....
"I don't wanna give you the wrong impression, I need love and affection...."
She trails the end note off into a vibrato. She pauses and looks about the room once more. She shakes her head and then laughs.....
She whispers. "These eyes put up a fight, but once again. These tears always win...."
"Some so call bad men used to use the gully to hide from police and creep up on their own brothers and sisters and kill them for what they have. "
[ Gully in Jamaica ] *Noun* a place :
There is the definition of the term "gully" here in North America where it is meant as "too raw and real" and is used as an adjective but in Jamaica "Gully"is a noun. Gully is basically a ditch that is found under bridges or inside little tunnels that runs water through it.
With that said. The term "Gully" is also used as a gang affiliated phrase in Jamaica: "Gully mi seh." Jamaica is now divided into 2 parts because of 2 dancehall reggae artists that have waged a "war" against eachother. The "leader" of the "Gully side" is Movado. So he coined the term "Gully mi seh". Anyone who says this is said to be in support of the "Gully side." Movado's rival isVybez Cartel. He is the leader of the "Gaza side": "Gaza mi seh".
I am in support of neither side. I feel this rival/feud is mindless. BUT I am using the popular dancehall song "Gully creepa" as an artistic and creative way of expression for this post. Not as support for this war.
To get an idea of the vibe, mannerisms and character that I had in mind when putting this look together for this post refer to this youtube video and watch this dancer in Jamaica doing the dance "Gully creepa"

this blog post! This month has rly proven to be a hectic one for me,
hence the late post! So! Collab88!! This round is SOOO lush! I love it. I basically went MAD
with shop frenzy on the Collab88 sim. As soon as I saw what ISON was
gonna release + what H.O.F was gonna release I already saw this
outfit--the rest just fell in place. <3

Me? I'm well, been keeping busy in my rl....and it will get even more hectic by tomorrow. I will be venturing into a new project and I'm beyond excited about that. So that and my part time job will keep me VERY busy and most likely tired and therefore I will not be online in secondlife as often as I usually am.
WITH THAT SAID! Lets talk about my ootd! It's VERY playful, colourful and of course sassy and consists of my ALL TIME FAV colour: Pink! By the time I finished putting this look together I wanted to shoot it some where slightly abstract and colourful! Then I found an art sim that has a variety of different original paintings that your avatar can be apart of! It's mad dope and I encourage photographers/ art lovers to check this sim out! The whole theme/ look of todays post ended up being VERY "In living colour" inspired.
So I thought it would be appropriate to have Iggy Azalea's "My world" to be the musical score for this post. Hence the title of this post being a line from this bomb track!

So I'm a HUGE makeup fanatic. Real life and Secondlife. So it's only natural that I share some of my makeup finds, especially one as gorgeous as this one!
Now....as a avatar of colour--especially one with an undertone as rich and dark as my avi's it's a CONSTANT struggle to find THEE perfect shades of eyeshadows and lipsticks.
Well....I was more than pleasantly surprised by Pink acid's "Elegant lipstick" pack! All of them POPPED on my avi...and not in a tacky way either. They were ALL soo flattering! I instantly fell in love!
So kudos and mad props goes out to Ms. Stasey Oller of Pink acid for doing a phenomenal job!!

Soooo, I know that my very first post on this blog was explaining that this blog is not a fashion blog....but I changed my mind. LOL...my love of fashion has really taken over these past few months on my flickr w/ uploads of my OOTD's and credits. Then a pretty lil' birdy came along and gave me a good reason to start blogging some of my OOTD's on here.
So this is my debut....as a "Fashion" blogger...I sorta don't like that term...so I'll use "Lifestyle" blogger, lol ;p.
