This is gonna be a bit of a lengthy post.(You've been warned :p )
What I'm gonna share is my personal preference/opinion with switching up your skins with one shape. I only share from experience. I feel somethings some ppl can agree upon and somethings ppl won't. To each their own. That's the beauty of SecondLife.

Hi guys & dolls!

So a friend of mine had asked me sometime ago after I released my Aida shape if I had tried her out in any other skins?

At that very moment in time no, but I did plan to. (but that's besides the point, and I digress.)

So I set out about doing it late last night. I went through my ridiculous folder of skins in my inventory to choose just a few to show.
Here; here's a taste of what my skin folder looks like: Click here to see a gyazo of my skin folder!....Sadly enough....that's not even HALF of what I own that's being shown.

Here's what I captured: 

I must say I'm actually quite relieved that Aida doesn't look too "alien" in any of these skins. I'm quite pleased to say the least.

She's universal. Which is what I strive for with my shape creations "individuality, uniqueness and versatility."

Before I conclude this post I'd like to share a bit of knowledge I have gained through my collecting of various skins and creating of various shapes.

There are 2 areas on a skin one should really take into consideration when they are interested in purchasing a new skin or shape.

1. The nose.
2. The mouth.

These 2 areas are key to indicating whether or not a skin or shape will look good on your avatar.

Both these areas are areas that most skin designers do either 3 things:

1. Shade/contour/highlight like a true beat faced honey. (okrrr!)
2. Leave the bridge of the nose entirely flat (no shading/contouring/highlighting) and leave all the detail for the nostrils and septum of the nose.
3. OR....some designers simply lightly shade/ contour the bridge of the nose of their skins.

((The same is applied for heavily shaded or detailed lip corners/lips in general on skins))

So with that knowledge you could look at a new skin of interest that; for example has a good visible amount of shading/contouring on the bridge of the nose and tell that it'll look funny on your avatar's shape that is currently in a skin that has soft shading on the bridge or vice versa . This is when you need to go in and edit your shapes nose and or lip sliders to your liking. This applies for just about any other body part on a skin that differs in shading.

NEW SHAPE ALERT!!!

Hello guys and dolls! 

I know it's been a hot minute since I've last posted much less made a shape and put it up in my MP shop.

Wait no longer!

I've made a shape out of boredom over the weekend on a whim and decided that I'd put her up for sale.

Now...I've made this shape available for only limited quantities. So if you want her don't hesitate to snatch her up while you still can. Only 30 copies of her are available.

With that said....meet Aida!

I made her wearing TheShops "Alana" skin. I first thought "I wanna kinda make her to look like an Ethiopian beauty....or something east African." But I feel she's kinda reminiscent of an anime character.....kinda.

Hollow man.

Hollow man by Starr Joles.

Featuring Marxx Portal.

This piece was something that I had on my computer for awhile. But I've had it in my head for even longer.

It all started with a group gift that was released in Del May's shop.

She posted a pic of it on her flickr:

And I thought to myself:

"How intimate."

So after I swung through Del May's shop and got the pose I ended up altering my default shape into one of a statuesque model and then snapping some pics of her being a tall voluptous model:

Then the vague nugget of the idea for "Hollow man." came to being.
So I hit my good friend Marxx Portal up and he ended up taking some pics of me before I asked him to pose with me with Del May's new pose "Do not disturb."

We teleported over  to "The city" sim.
I put on my prim wings and played around with my windlights.
This was around the period of time that I was obsessed with having my skies and atmosphere looking pink.
 Then I just snapped away until I found an angle that I liked.
I set out to edit it that night because I really wanted to execute my idea of "Hollow man." while it was still fresh in my mind.

I did.
It was glorious.
Then GIMP froze and crashed on me during my saving process.

That's basically what I did after I had to reboot my laptop.

So FOR MONTHS! I had the raw shot of "Hollow man." sitting on my hard drive. And I literally FEARED touching it again.

So I left it.


Then when I did my last fashion blog post I thought to myself:
"I WANT to edit that picture again and finish and then share it."

So I did. (Again) here's my before and after shots:

The first time I took to editing it I was listening to an artist from my hometown by the name of Justin Nozuka.

His songs are literally done in true "story telling" form. Which is a style that is somewhat lost to todays music. But Michael Jackson was KING of that sort of style.
"Smooth criminal" is a great example of that.

Anywho, I decided to listen to 2 songs from Justin:

I liked the title and overall message of Justin Nozuka's "Hollow men." but it didn't fit the story I had built in my mind for my picture.

The title however VERY much resonated with the story of the picture. So I ran with "Hollow man." for my title.

Now....."Swan in the water" basically tells the story of the man in the picture (Marxx Portal) and why an angel (My avatar) would be paying him a vist.

for this post; this is all the writing I'm going to do. 

I will not write you the story of "Hollow man."

But....

I do encourage you to listen to the songs that inspired me.

They tell the story just as well as I ever could.

I'm here at our spot. Pacing in front of the gates where we will have our first kiss.

So when I woke up this morning, rolled out of my bed in my 1 bedroom apartment loft.

My very lonely loft.

I knew that once I stepped out the door and walked to the park around the corner that it wouldn't be so lonely after today.

This oh so fated day.

That I'd meet my Prince charming.

I had a premention about him over a year ago one night as I slept.

I remember it so vividly.

It was a chilly yet bright September morning.

I get dressed in some black and white.

Which is actually trending this season this year. 

I deck myself out in fur and thigh high boots.

Classy as fuck.

I accessorize with gold.

Per usual.

And put on my favourite plum lipstick from Essences.

I grab my Reckless Ambitions ostrich duffle bag and my zulu phone and head out.

Fate told me that at 6:15 am on September 18, 2013 in front of these god damn gates of this park....

That I'd finally meet you, hug you, kiss you and love you.

 She enters the dimly lit room. And peers around gloomily. She focuses on the light that is cascading in through the windows. She stares off into the distance at a memory deep in the recesses of her mind. She smiles sadly to herself. She then shakes her head to try to rid her mind of the memory, that has once again slithered its way into her skull. She then turns around to face the room again only to gasp loudly at the sight before her....

the room is now glittering.....

She slowly walks towards the piano and looks about the room in awe. As a feeling of nostalgia hits her. She begins to hum a tune that's been haunting her for awhile......

.....she closes her eyes, opens her mouth and begins to sing.....

New Faces: Camilla!!

Hello, Lovlies!!! 
First let me address any Mothers or Mothers to be by saying "HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!" <333....Now go off and get spoiled rotten by your loved ones with love, gifts and yummy dinners!....On second thought.....maybe you all should just take a moment to read this post and look at my pictures!!! Tehe:3


ANYWHO!

This post is featuring a new skin designer in Second life! She goes by the name of Gwen Aloix, and her new skin/body store is called "New faces". Cute, right? She has released a skin before this one I'm posting about, it's called "Arianna". It's GORGEOUS!! It's made me turn into a ginger on the grid now, lol, it's awesome. Just like her newest release:  "Camilla"!

I am wearing all the available tones and eyebrow colour options in this pic from left to right: Pale (in the blonde brow option and 01 freckle option) , Sunkissed ( in the red brow option and 02 freckle option) and Darker ( in the brown brow option).

Here are a few reasons why I love this skin:

1. The detail in the facial features and body ( HELLO ABS!!) + (pretty darn realistic)

2. The texture and blending put into this skin.

3. THE FRECKLE TATTOO LAYEERRRSSS!!! *_* ( It covers not just the face but ALSO the shoulders and chest)

Haaai, Loves!!

So as promised I have released my shape for TheShops "Pussy" skin.

Please keep in mind that she was designed SPECIFICALLY for TheShops "Pussy" skin.

So she will look entirely different in any other skin.

HOWEVER....

I feel she may look good in skins that have a lot of detail of contour and highlighting around the nose.

It all really depends on the design of the skin you put her in.

The inspiration of this shapes look is none other than....

Lana Del Rey:

  Okay...granted my shape does not look EXACTLY like her, but that wasn't my aim anyway. My shape Olivia is INSPIRED by the looks and features of Lana Del Rey.

• The shape of her eyes.
• The upturn of her nose.
• And the pout and width of her lips.

All inspired by this woman. :)

Hey y'all!! My apologies for my absence my real life just kinda came along, slapped me in the face cold then proceeded to kidnap me. A LOT has happened to me in my rl + sl between now and my last post and ALL of them has made me better + stronger. To my fam + friends rl +sl that has been there for me I appreciate all of your presence in my life IMMENSELY...words don't do justice.

And for Nills: Merci d'avoir votre patience et de l'amour.

My title is actually VERY fitting considering it's a lyric from "The weekend's" song "The morning." I've been kinda mulling over this shape for MONTHS now. I don't know I felt like I didn't have any creative motivation to put together a look/ad for this shape....then finally it all just came back to me!

I present to you: Lilith.

She's been thru many stages in her look but now I'm happy with the results. Her overall look is inspired by Rita Ora--believe it or not. The down-ward slightly droopy cute eyes and wide set lips. All inspired by Rita Ora. She is also the shortest shape I've made. She's just adorable. She might be tiny and almost pixie like...but her curves confirm her mature femininity.

Roxanne pt quatre

Hello guys + dolls!!

This is Roxanne. (Again) The 2nd pic above is the "Petite" version of my Roxanne shape. Face structure wise she has all the same traits as all my previous Roxanne shapes--cheek bones like diamonds, eyes like a cat and a pout that won't quit.

The only difference is her body size. She is far more slim than all the Roxanne shapes + less shapely. She's also the tallest by an inch. Despite her height everything about this Roxanne is Petite!

Per usual this version of the Roxanne shape is accompanied by an in ad style card!

Roxanne pt Trois

Hello again Guys + Dolls!:D

I'm back again with my newest release over at D i t t o*! (exciting, I know!)

Anywho, the Barbie looking blonde to the far right in the pic is my new release.
(But why is her name "Roxanne" as well? She looks nothing like your other 2 releases?!?!)

Do not fret dolls, 'tis only a different skin I decided to use for this ad. I really needed to capture the essence of a "sex toy" for this one....so I went bimbo. Only right way to do it.

Any who the facial features of this version of the "Roxanne" shape is just about the same as my previous releases...just a thinner bridge and thinner nostril width.

Yes, her boobs are HUGE that's the point, lol. So if that's your "type" I'm sure you and those around you will get a kick out of "Roxanne" the sex toy version! :D

She also has a drastically + dramatically narrower waist than ALL of my previous "Roxanne" releases. Once again a part of the territory of looking like a walking sex toy. I've also took the courtesy of making a flat chested "prim boob" version for all the prim boob dolls out there!!

Roxanne pt.Deux

So as you can probably not tell (LOL) the 2nd pic above is a pic of my new shape @ D i t t o*!
(but she looks like your "Roxanne shape" above it, you know the one you posted about before this one?)

Yes + No.

This version of Roxanne as I have mentioned in my last post is the "Pear shape" version. The Roxanne in my last post is the "Hour glass" version.

This version of Roxanne is a bit more on the realistic anatomy of "todays" woman. (I don't really know/fully agree about that, but I did read somewhere that "pear shapes" in women is THEE most common body type among the females species.)

ANYWHO! This is Roxanne the "pear shape" version. Her waist isn't as narrow and connects better to her wide set "child bearing hips" compared to the "hour glass" version. She's also on the thick side y'all. Other than that she has all the same features as the "hour glass" Roxanne shape.

I hope you guy's + dolls love her!

Roxanne, you don't have to put on the red light.

This is Roxanne. I took inspiration from my last post and my little findings from a few lovely ladies over on Flickr and my census thus far has pointed me in the direction of CURVES. Not your average curves, sex kitten/ Jessica Rabbit curves.

The hour glass figure.

Yep, so out came Roxanne here. Ain't she a smoke show? I decided as well to make her face almost cat like--"exotic" sharp angled features, ya know?

I also took the liberty of making Roxanne in a "Pear shape" , "Petite" and a "Sex toy" version.
